About killarkai
I’m known as Soo Jin Kai at most parts of the world, and Shi Jun Kai at one chunk of planet earth. To avoid all the confusion, I use the screen name “killarkai”.
I’ve spent the last 20 years in Malaysia, grown up in a peaceful small town, Kuantan, that unfortunately got taken over by a bunch of Seven-Elevens, got my degree in a university located in a “cybercity” – in other words a desert-like place that cows occasionally pass by – Cyberjaya, and spent nine months working right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur near what is commonly known as the pride of Malaysia – Petronas Twin Towers worrying that it may fall down on my then office.
April 10 2005, I embarked on a journey to a world unknown to me – actually anything outside Malaysia was unknown to me – I started a new life chapter in Shanghai.
For more than 1 year, I worked on mobile games with Gameloft Shanghai, shipped some titles, but soon felt disillusioned with work.
Right now I’m at the infant phase of a startup with a couple of locals here in Shanghai. May Gameeel bring you plenty of good games. :)
I’m musically trained since young, possessing a piano certificate title that I can’t put behind my name. (Soo Jin Kai advanced?!) Never acknowledging that passion needs to be backed up by discipline, I am never the pianist I had hoped to be. Now I’m starting a new musical exploration with jazz and the sax. I have an alto-saxophone named Bethany. I sold my previous saxophone, Gabrielle in exchange for Bethany. I know, I’m heartless.
In my free time, I love to indulge in video games. My list of favourite games? Too lazy to list it down. Something worth mentioning is, nothing pleases me more than scoring a great goal in Winning Eleven.
About The Hermit Craps
I have an uncanny fascination for hermit crabs, hermits, and crap. Therefore the name. I am not a hermit, though I’m training to be one. 50% of what I write are certified to be crap. (The other 50% may be crap) So be warned before you read.
